Let us Bring Your Floors Back to Life
When you mop your floor, the water naturally seeks out the lowest spot on the floor. It settles in the grout lines. Soils make their way into the grout along with the water and settle there as the moisture evaporates. Left behind is soil and a detergent residue that binds the soil to the grout, leaving you with discolored grout lines.
Unlike just mopping, our tile and grout cleaning process lifts the soils out with high pressure and highly heated water. As it cleans, the high powered vacuum ensures not only that your tile is clean but that the solution applied to the floor along with the soil are removed during the cleaning.

Why do some grout cleaners charge so much less?A low price should cause you to ask questions. How can they charge so little? What will the final price be, and what exactly will you get for that price? Where have they cut costs in order to get their price low, and how will it effect your family, your home, and your floors? Some unscrupulous companies use a method known as bait & switch, and unfortunately this unethical advertising is still popular. We’ve written a full article on the types of bait and switch scams to watch out for and how they work. At Overturf’s Cleaning, we use high quality people, high quality techniques and cleaners, along with powerful truck mounted equipment for the best possible clean. Our technicians are IICRC certified and our company is fully insured. We spend the necessary amount of time and go through a step by step process to do the job right. We choose not to compromise in our values, we see them as vital to creating an outstanding service experience. If another company is charging an extremely low price, where have they cut costs so they can make money? And do you really want to take the chance to find out? If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

How long until I should walk on my sealed grout?A full cure is achieved after 24-48 hours, but foot traffic may begin in 4 hours. The manufacturer recommends you cover the tile with red rosin paper if foot traffic must resume before the recommended time periods have passed.
-
What kind of cleaner should I use on my tile?Be sure to use neutral pH cleaners or cleaners made specifically for tile. To keep a pristine appearance, mop your tile 2 to 3 times per week. Some professionals recommend this technique: Mix 1 capful of dishwashing liquid per gallon of hot water. Mop up excess water and allow to dry. Buff with a dry towel to reduce spotting. What not to use: Some cleaning products contain lemon, vinegar, bleach, ammonia. A common recommendation is to use vinegar water to mop tile. Stay away from these products on your tile floors. Also stay way from scouring powders. Repeated use will remove your sealer, wear away your grout, and in some cases strip the pigmentation from colored grout. Something else to avoid using on your tile floors is any kind of wax. It can create a film or a haze over your tile and grout, and be a mess to clean off. Avoid using these altogether on tile, including a famous one that ends with the word “Glo”.

How long does grout sealer last? The manufacturer of the grout sealer we use rates the expected wear as 3-5 years on interior surfaces. Of course, this can vary depending on the amount of traffic the floors receive. The Ceramic Tile Council of America recommends sealing once a year, as the tile installation breathes thereby opening microscopic fissures in the grout. We would never disagree with The Ceramic Tile Council of America but a general rule of thumb realistic for most homeowners is to reseal high traffic areas every 2-3 years.

Do I really need to seal my grout?Without sealing grout, it will return to a dirty state rather quickly. By sealing the grout, a barrier is formed between the grout and the dirt, allowing you time to clean it before the dirt penetrates into the grout. Sealing your grout will also help prolong its beauty and life span.

Does this mean I won’t have to clean my carpets again? No product prevents soiling, but your fabrics and carpets are protected against many permanent stains and with your next professional cleaning will clean up much nicer than before.

Where do you apply the Floor & Fabric Protector? In many cases, we can do it right at your home. Other times, we can work with your designer, or directly with your furniture store to have the protection applied before the piece comes to your home. If the piece requires cleaning first, we can usually clean and protect the piece on the same visit.

When I spill a drink, will the liquid stay on the surface of protected fabrics? Not always. Protectors that penetrate deeply into the fabric and coat the individual fibers will not always have liquids bead up to the surface. This does not mean that the protector is not working, the fabric is still being protected, food and drink staining will still be prevented, and the above 6 benefits will still apply.

Protector didn't work last time?In our experience, here are the most common reasons it doesn't work and how you can avoid them: 1. Not using high quality protector. Discount protectors are not as effective and sometimes void the carpet warranty. Our company uses only the highest quality, recommended protectors. 2. Not using a dedicated container. Using the same container for carpet protector as other cleaners can contaminate the carpet protector making it gummy and ineffective. Our vans have a dedicated container reserved ONLY for carpet protector. 3. Not applying the product properly. Some cleaners either under apply or over apply the protector. Under applying it doesn’t allow for complete penetration of the carpet yarns. Over applying it causes the carpet to become overly stiff and crusty. Our company technicians are diligently trained for proper application. 4. Not grooming the carpet. For the best performance, the product should be groomed into the carpet for maximum penetration. This ensures contact with all surfaces of the carpet yarn and proper distribution and drying. Overturf's thoroughly grooms the protector into the carpet pile.

Why is there a 2-week turnaround time for a rug to be cleaned at our rug spa?Because we give your rug multiple cleanings. We run it through the machines a couple of times then dry it out. We inspect it and if there’s additional cleaning required, we start the process over again until it’s the best clean that it can possibly have without ruining it.
Why clients rave about us
“They came and cleaned the kitchen tile, and then sealed the grout in all of the house. It was outstanding. They first did an initial estimate. They had a nine point system of cleaning.
They did what they promised they would do. They also were punctual.”
